Oy, what a feeling!

Wolper Wellbeing ProgramWolper Jewish Hospital is developing various health-related activities around the theme of "Wellness". This program was launched in August and activities commenced soon after.  The current thematic area is “nutrition”.

This program aims at delivering high quality health promotion activities for a sophisticated audience. The emphasis is on providing quality information and activities of substance that are entertaining as well

WELLBEING is defined as the state of being healthy

The theme of the Wolper Wellbeing Program is health and quality of life, or “Wellness”. It introduces a role for Wolper Hospital as a hospital that is interested in health; prevention of ill health and maintenance of good health and healthy ageing.

The program aims at improving or maintaining health by delivering high quality health promotion activities with an emphasis on up to date information provided by experts in their fields.

It is provided free of charge for the audience, and is organized and sponsored by Wolper Jewish Hospital. Wolper Jewish Hospital presents its Wellbeing Program 5 or 6 times a year.

Park free after 6pm in Westfield. Exit level 3 to Bronte Road,

What you wanted to know about stem cells

Professor Peter Gunning: School of Medical Sciences, UNSW. Is engaged in adult stem cell research.“The use of adult stem cells as a therapy for humans: lessons from muscle”.
Professor Bernie Tuch: Director of the NSW Stem Cell Network; Director of the Pancreas Transplant Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.“Religious attitudes to the use of stem cells and their application for treatment of diabetes”.
Dr Olivia Harvey: School of History and Philosophy, UNSW; Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Olivia is conducting a three-year project on stem cell science in Australia.“Society and ethical attitudes for the use of stem cells”.

There will be a Panel Discussion with all speakers at the end of the evening's presentation.
